Ebony cant believe her eyes. So many All Stars have climbed the beanstalk today. Well done to all those people. our hundred leaf is so big the names almost cant fit. These people will now be apart of our hundred club where they will be learning to type as many words as they can in ten minutes. Look out for more about this soon!

Buddy class Party!

As we get near to saying goodbye to Rachel and Joel we had one last buddy class with them. We had a party with games, music and chocolate. Check out the fun we had.

St. Patricks Day Buddy Class

The icing was really strong. When we put heaps of icing in it went gooey and slimy.
The icing was green because it was st patricks day and everything is green. We put food colouring in it. We also put sprinkles.
My buddy poured too much sprinkles on to his biscuit by accident and he had to share them with everyone.
My buddy had two bits of green sticky paper and wrote hi and bye on them. He put them on his tummy and his back.
My buddy said where are the scissor but they were right in front of her.

A Cathedral for Christchurch

Our school created a huge chalk drawing of the Cathedral before the earthquake. This was day 6s event for our 7days for Christchurch fundraiser. We all really liked making the picture with our buddies. Keep an eye out for a movie showing how it was made.

Russell Street School is almost at the end of our 7 day Fundraiser for Christchurch. 'Bob and Job' in our class had us doing all sorts of jobs in the weekend for cash...

We had a fun water fight with our Buddies on Friday afternoon.

Black and Red Day!!!!

Today we wore black and red and brought along a coin to contribute to the coin trail to support Christchurch. Its day 2 of our fundraising for the Christchurch people affected by the earthquake.

Swimming Sports Day

We are heading to the Lido on Tuesday for RSS Swimming Sports. Please make sure you have your togs underneath your clothes when you come to school with a change of warm clothes and shoes for after your turn in the pool. You will need lots of lunch and a drink bottle with water. We will be showing our learning in the pool from 9.45am onwards with the Staff/ Parents vs student relay race at 10.30am. You are most welcome to come down and join in the fun.

Nearly half the class are stars at jumping up the beanstalk in wordpower this week. Well done...Georgia T, Hannah, Bella, Katelyn, T'gen, Zac, Fraser, Morgan, Jacob, Cam, Joseph and Maia S. Also well done to Maraki for always being the best he can be at the class code.

We are learning to: solve a problem we have with others
We know we must say "Stop it I don't like" it first, if they don't stop we find a peer mediator, then see a teacher if we need more help.
We made a play in groups to show these steps.
