Custom Glitter Text

Remember to bring along suitable clothing and footwear to active with our buddies. Be ready a day of lots of fun cooperative games...you may even get wet.
It would be a good idea to have spare/warm clothes in your bag for after, a good lunch and a drink bottle.

Reading Word Cloud

WALT: summarise information from what we read.

Success Criteria:
From a story, we can talk about
who is in it
where and when it happened
what happened and why

I read Slinky Malinki, Open the Door
by Lynley Dodd

This is a word cloud using ABCya.com showing the information I found out.

Writing

This week in writing...
WALT: write neatly.
It is important that we include the 5w's to make our writing interesting but we have to be able to raed our writing as well.
Here is Zara's writing. She used the 5w's well. She has good tidy writing as well.

Poem of the Week

This weeks poem of the week is by Jayde.

We all decided that to be a good illustration it needed to have:
  • lots of colour
  • no mosquitto holes
  • dark outline
  • interesting background
  • lots of details

A Pie Graph

WALT: Make a graph to show and read information.
Today Sandi come into our class and helped us make a pie graph. We had to colour a wedge of the pie in our house colour and stick it on the pie in a group. The pie graph showed us lots of interesting things about our class and their house colours. We also made tally marks to help us read the pie graph in more detail.
What information do you read from our pie graph?
What is the most popular house colour? What is the least?
How do the tally marks help us?
