Tessellation

Today we learned about tessellation. A tessellation is a collection of shapes that fill a paper with no overlaps and no gaps. We went looking for some examples around the school. We are making some of our own.
Thanks to Tane and Jayde for taking the photos.

  2. Lachlan's mum:- when Lachlan brought home his spelling it had the word "tessellation" I wondered what what going on. It was a word I had not heard, nor did I know what it meant. Luckily, not only did Lachlan know how to spell it - he knew what it meant and explained it to me. Great work Rm 13 for teaching your parents new things.
